Apply to join our inaugural cohort of the Taiaiako'n—Parkdale—High Park Youth Council!
As a member you'll be invited to share your feedback on critical federal issues impacting our riding and work on an initiative to help your peers get more civically engaged. Your perspectives will inform Karim as he represents TPHP in Ottawa.
This is a non-partisan Youth Council running from August 2026 to July 2027.
Commitment: One meeting per quarter with the inaugural meeting happening at 6pm on Tuesday, August 25th. Outside of these meetings, members will support with two initiatives per year aimed at seeking feedback and engagement from their peers (Approx. 5 hours per month).
Eligibility:
- Must be between the ages of 15 and 25
- Must live in the riding
- If attending post-secondary university, do you come back to the riding at least twice per semester?
What we're looking for: We are actively seeking a wide range of perspectives, lived experiences and passions. We're looking for young people in our riding who have shown their passion for this community. Whether that's through a sporting organization, your school, a church, a community project... whatever you care about, let us know!
